Engineering and Computer Programming with Lego Robotics NXT

(Ages 8 – 13)

In this program students build a variety of  LEGO® MINDSTORMS®  robots and learn the NXT computer programming environment. The goal of the course is to apply engineering principles and to write  computer programs to solve  challenges designed by KidsLogic.

During the course, students explore and practice:

  • Principles of computer logic and programming such as algorithms, programs, functions, sequential logic, decisions and loops.
  • Fundamental physics concepts such as distance, rotation, velocity, acceleration, work and energy.
  • Problem solving techniques used in computer science such as divide and conquer.
  • Mathematics.
